Supporting unpaid carers, caring for a relative, partner, child, neighbour or friend who might have a physical or learning disability, dementia, mental health problems, misuses drugs or alcohol or is ill or frail. You do not have to live with the person you care for to receive support. Carers can access all the free services available.

Provides:

County’s leading charity for unpaid family and friend carers. We offer telephone support, advice and information as well as opportunities to access services that can help to support carers.

We can help carers access services related to:

  • carers assessment;
  • benefits for carers
  • time off;
  • community care and health services;
  • legal issues relating to care;
  • sources of emotional support for carers;
  • emergency back-up;
  • and having a life outside caring.

We support Young Carers aged 8-18 so that their caring responsibilities do not stop them from having the same opportunities as other young people enjoy.
